If You Say You Can or You Can’t, You’re Right

If you say you can, or if you say you can’t, you’re right in both cases. It’s your choice.

I recently discovered an incredible opportunity to create residual income, and it reminded me how many people underestimate what’s truly possible. I want to teach others how to become financially free, because wealth and success are much simpler than most people think. The key? You find people who have done it, and you learn from them. You model them. You let yourself be coached.

But here’s the truth: you cannot become wealthy without investing in yourself, and you cannot grow without courage. Every successful person you see, every entrepreneur, every investor, every coach, has fears, doubts, and moments of uncertainty. The only difference is, they don’t let those fears stop them. They take action anyway.

Lately, I’ve seen so many people struggling, wanting to change their lives, wanting to do something different. Many of them know me personally. They watch my journey, they see the success I’ve built, and they ask how I did it. But when I tell them what it actually takes, when I give them the roadmap, their limiting beliefs rise to the surface like old ghosts.

“Oh, I’m not good at selling.”
“Oh, I’m not good at business.”
“I’m not good with numbers.”
“I’m more of an artsy type.”

And I completely disagree.

Because I am creative. I am artsy. Yet I learned how to sell, how to negotiate, how to build businesses, how to grow multiple income streams. No one is born knowing how to make money. It’s a skill, a muscle, a mindset. And like every muscle, it grows when you train it.

Those excuses - I can’t, it’s not my thing, I’m not good at it - are not the truth. They’re limiting beliefs. But there’s another layer to it. Often, people don’t change because their pain isn’t big enough yet. The pain of staying the same must become greater than the pain of changing before transformation happens.

I’ve noticed this especially among some women around me who say they want to be successful, independent, and free like me - to pay their own bills, to stand on their own feet, to no longer depend on a man, or the economy, or politics, or anyone else. And yet, they stay stuck. Why? Because deep down, their current situation still serves them. They have someone, a husband or a partner, who pays the bills. They may not be happy, but it’s comfortable enough. The discomfort of change still feels greater than the discomfort of staying the same.

But when you’re a single mother, when you have children to take care of, you don’t have the luxury of excuses. You do whatever it takes. You find a way. You learn the skill. You build the muscle. You rise.

And that’s what successful people do. They do whatever it takes. Even when it’s uncomfortable, even when they don’t know how to do it, even when it means starting from zero, they find a way.

So I’ll leave you with this: if you say you can or you can’t, you’re right in both cases. But if you choose “can,” you’ll change your life.
