Our story is the story of a small jewellery-making workshop which Domenico Scavia opened in 1911. Over the years the workshop grew thanks not least to the work and passion of his daughter Sara and grandson Fulvio Maria.
Scavia is today one of the great families of Italian luxury. It stands out for its extraordinary artisan expertise and highly recognisable style acquired in more than a century at the forefront of the international jewellery world.
A piece of Scavia jewellery is, first and foremost, an idea, followed by the technical perfection required to make it and, lastly, the extraordinary materials used to bring it to life.
Each jewel is conceived and designed by Fulvio Maria Scavia.
Therefore no piece can ever be like any other. Shape, material and colour combine in a new way each time to tell a story that is always absolutely unique.
Fulvio Maria Scavia learnt the jewellery-making art in his grandfather’s workshop and inherited his passion for jewellery from his mother, Sara. He started designing at a very early age and when he was only 17 he won, all at the same time, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes in De Beers’ “Diamonds Today” competition.
Over the years of his career he has won fourteen more Diamonds International Awards and a GIE – Tahitian Pearl Trophy.
The artisan’s work requires knowledge of an ancient art, precision and a great deal of passion.
And so in our jewellery workshop in Milan we apply all those meticulous techniques that reveal the beauty and perfection that distinguish Scavia’s excellence.
